Mets Showing Love To Oliver Perez

Ollie must be thinking...You love me now!!! Jon Heyman, of MLB Network and SI.com, reported the Mets have offered Oliver Perez a three yr deal, "worth close to $30 million" on the Hot Stove Show tonight.

Apparently, the Mets believe there is now serious competition for D-Lowe. Heyman disclosed several teams are actively pursuing D-Lowe, the Braves have been linked to Lowe and possibly Phillies and Brewers as well.

I'm beginning to believe the teams linked to Lowe, may be making noise to drive Lowe's price up, in an attempt to scare the Mets off. Sooner or later, Omar and the Wilpons, need to decide if they're gonna start flexing some muscle and acting like a "Big Market" team or continue to be bullied. Don't get me wrong, this offer for Ollie is a win-win at 3 yrs for just under $30 million.
